Who We Are

Eddie "Michael" Whitaker is the son of Monique & Late Mr. Johnny Russell. Michael was born with a rare disease, mucopolysaccharidoses/ MPS II, also know as Hunter Syndrome disease. Hunter syndrome is a rare inherited disorder in which the body does not properly digest (break down) sugar molecules. When these molecules build up in organs and tissues over time, they can cause damage that affects physical and mental development and abilities. Michael has autism spectrum disorder, scoliosis, chronic asthma, glaucoma, and mild hearing loss in both ears. Michael don't let any of that get him down because he enjoy every moment of life! He loves traveling the world with mommy to experience new and exciting things. His all time favorite is watching all Tyler Perry plays and movies. He also likes to watch barney, Jeni & Keni, old yeller, and little rascals. He enjoys going to adaptive cardio drumming class as well as riding his custom made adaptative bike. His all-time favorite activity is to bust a move and dance the night away with the drop of any genre of music. Michael is the motivation of why this organization was birthed.
